Lovely, relaxing & clean park with friendly staff and good amenities. The pools are cleaned daily and are a delight to use. To be woken by the sounds of chirping birds who flock to the many grand trees towering throughout the park is a delight. The one and only drawback are the mosquitoes (depending on weather) as the nearer you get to the water the worse they are. However, even taking that into account, we would definitely choose to stay here above all the other parks in the Forster/Tuncurry area.

We have stayed at Lanis for 3 yrs now. Same cabin every time with about 5 other families in other cabins and camping. Have enjoyed every single stay, making other friends who stay at the same time. Staff have always been friendly and very helpful when needed. Have booked again for 2019. See you all there again. Keep up the great work Lanis

It is great fun. I’d recommend taking friends and/or family. Staff are so nice to making sure everything is at your comfort zone. The cafe people are nice especially Sarah and Gary. If you have a boat, Lani’s Holiday Island is a perefect place to drop your boat into the water at the boat ramp and go fishing for hours. I hate the Lani’s ghost story that the captain always tells the kids. It still scares me.

This place is a rip off, $33 for unpowered site for one person in a tent with no vehicle. There is no wifi or even a single cup in the kitchen to use for coffee. There is a big sign at reception saying they close at 8pm, at 7:50pm the office was already closed, I rang the night bell only to hear the voice mail telling me to record a message. When it’s dark and you don’t have a place to stay for the night you definitely do not want to record a message to be heard the next morning. I rang again and the recepetion lady tells me they cannot accommodate me at this time, I tell her this is still their opening hours and she agress to come out.
All the unpowered sites were located on a single loan which was nice with the palm trees around but there were no markings for the sites meaning that if it’s busy you might end up paying $33 pp to not even have a site but be jammed among other tents and cars. Even the nicest hostels I’ve been to in Australia don’t go over about $28 per night, this place is ridiculous

I’ve been to caravan and camping parks most of my youth and was the first exercise for my family. I found the place nice quiet and relaxing. The hut was clean and the amenities as well. As my wife said better the some of the hotel we have stayed in over the yrs.
