Create a compelling description

Visitors looking for businesses on the MidCoast Business Hub can search by business name, type, location, item or service. Our search tool uses all the business information including the description to deliver relevant search results. It’s therefore essential that you create a business description that clearly describes your business and it’s services.

TIP: When you describe your business think about the important words that customers may be searching for:

We are an Italian restaurant and takeaway that specialises in authentic Italian cuisine.

TIP: Try to describe relevant services or items offered by your business. This should be in sentence form and not as a list:

We use our wood fired oven to make delicious pizza, and serve a range of fresh pasta dishes including our famous seafood linguini. We also do a sensational steak, but if meat isn’t your thing we make vegetarian dishes and some vegan meals too.

TIP: Describing your premises, location or team will also help you appear when people are searching for businesses like yours:

Our comfortable, family friendly restaurant is located in the heart of Forster, overlooking beautiful Wallis Lake. Dine in or takeaway, our friendly staff are happy to take your booking.

Choosing the right image

A great image will attract visitors to your listing and in turn generate more business for you. We recommend using a photo that showcases the items you sell, services you provide or your premises, with your logo overlaid where possible. Alternatively you can just use an image of your logo. Images should be high quality, lanscape orientation, in JPEG format, and under 2MB in size. The ideal image size is 1400 pixels wide by 788 pixels high. The smallest size we will accept is 700 pixels wide by 394 pixels tall.
